Reginald Charles Shuck

February 6, 1929 — October 6, 2016

Reginald C. Shuck was born in Madison, Tennessee on February 6,1929 and passed away on October 6th 2016.

At a young age, Reggie moved to the East Coast of Florida with his mother Pearl, his father, Floyd, and sister, Edith. As a youth, some of his happiest days were spent on his sailboat on the Indian River.

As an adult, Reggie worked as a Medical Laboratory Director/Owner. He also worked in electronics and co-owned an electronics firm which produced a safe bullet and electronic detection system for the police dept. He is credited as the inventor of the first machine which could calculate the human blood Hematocrit and he worked as a pilot observer for the Governor's Task Force against organized crime.

Reggie loved a "road trip" and took many happy trips with his family across the U.S. in his camper. He loved maps, computers, technology of all types, Indian Guides with his sons (wherein he was elected Nation Chief), fishing, placing his sons and himself in dangerous situations with their adventures (disturbing a Yellow Jacket nest while hiking to the top of a mountain in North Georgia comes to mind), his dogs Candy (an Irish Setter), Saucy (a Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix), and Max (a Rat Terrier), he especially liked hunting lizards with and making French Fries for Rachel one of his Granddaughters.

At his request Reggie's body will be cremated and the ashes sprinkled in the India River were he spent his youth.

He is the father of four boys Dennis (deceased), David (deceased), Jeffrey, and Thomas. He has ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
