Reginald "Reggie" Denny

December 29, 1974 — October 31, 2023

Reggie, a beloved resident of Oviedo, Florida, died on October 31, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. His final battle was fought with the same passion and determination that defined his life. He often quoted Dylan Thomas's admonition to "not go gentle into that good night; rage, rage against the dying of the light " and he refused to give up without a struggle.

Born in Orlando, Florida, on December 29, 1974, Reggie's life journey was one filled with love and adventure. He first met his future wife, Johnna, in a college art class, and from that serendipitous moment, he knew she was the one he would spend his life with. Together, they embarked on a remarkable journey. Reggie's world revolved around his family, and he cherished every moment with his children and the many friends who became a part of his life.

The couple began their family in Winter Park, Florida, and embarked on a five-year adventure to Moab, Utah, where they opened a comic book store before returning to Central Florida. Reggie's youthful spirit shone through as he spent his free time setting up Hot Wheel tracks throughout the house and organizing G.I. Joe battles in the yard with the kids. His love for comics, sports, cars, and all things nerdy was passed on to his children, and he continually encouraged them to be their best and lend a helping hand to those in need. He saw the potential in his children and instilled in them the wisdom of Master Yoda: "Do or do not, there is no try." An undercover fanboy of pop culture, music, movies, baseball, and classic Ford cars, Reggie's proudest achievement in life was his children. Becoming a grandfather was a cherished dream, and he was grateful to have had the chance to meet his granddaughter.

In his professional life, Reggie contributed his skills as a graphic artist at Diocesan Publications for nearly 28 years. His unwavering passion and enthusiasm for art, design, and print reproduction were the cornerstones of his work. Reggie's dedication to graphic design and printing garnered multiple awards at the National/International Print Industries Shows.

Reginald is survived by his loving wife, Johnna Denny; their daughter, Rahne Denny; their son, Conner Denny, and his wife, Morgan Denny; their granddaughter, Liliana "Lily" Denny; his brother, Steven Denny; his parents, Randall and Judy Denny; his in-laws, John and Judy Rankin.

To honor Reggie's memory, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, people act as the hero Reggie aspired to be and make donations to their local Toys for Tots this holiday season.
