CHURCH ACTIVITIES-
John, along with his wife, the former Eva Crank, worked as a musical team in various churches in Baltimore and Orlando. Their musical abilities which included radio, television and revival meetings carried a special anointing of the Lord while at the same time their attitudes were humility.
Opportunities to use their musical talents in countries in Africa and all across Europe were presented to them. In addition to their missionary activities, they once again became a musical team and served as pianist and organist at Christian Center, a large international church in Brussels, Belgium.
John and Eva had two children who inherited their parents' musical talents. John Gary is not only a gifted administrator but is proficient on the piano, organ, and saxophone as well. Patricia is an anointed pianist with a beautiful voice much like that of the former Karen Carpenter. She, too, is gifted in administration.
John is survived by his wife, Eva; his children, Gary and Lori Ellison (missionaries in Port Vila, Vanuatu) and Tricia and Alan Baker (pastoring in Newark, Delaware); and four grandchildren: Alicia and Allison Baker, and Jasmine and Jeremy Ellison.
