In Loving Memory of Richard Alan Luoma
Richard Luoma, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and mentor, passed away on December 3rd, 2024, at the age of 60. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and strength that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Born on August 11th, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois, Ric Luoma devoted his life to his family, friends, and hard work. For nearly 40 years, he worked at Continental Airlines, now United, where his commitment and work ethic were a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him. Outside of work, he found joy and freedom riding motorcycles, a passion that brought him many happy memories.
A true family man, Ric Luoma never turned his back on those he loved. He provided unwavering support to his family and friends, building not just one but two homes with his own hands to ensure a safe and loving environment for his loved ones. His dedication to their happiness and well-being was unparalleled, and his strength and guidance shaped the lives of those he cherished most.
Richard is survived by his wife, Susan Luoma, his four children - Alexandar Salinas, Anthony Luoma, Arianne Luoma, and Aric Luoma. He leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Damian Salinas, Oliver Salinas, and Roxanne Rowley. Richard is also survived by his brothers, Roy and Randy Luoma, and his sisters, Carmela Miller, Renee Frances, and Cynthia Marks. His brothers-in-law, Howard Miller, Chris Frances, Donald Marks, and Michael Montini. His sisters-in-law, Linda Luoma, Debi Peters, Barbara Seifert, and Sonia Montini. In addition, countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, who were like family to him, carry on his memory.
Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and in the stories of a life lived with purpose, kindness, and resilience.
Rest in peace, Richard Alan Luoma. You were the cornerstone of our family and a loyal friend to many. Your love will guide us always.
