Ricardo "Ricky" Soto, 52, was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on September 2, 1961. After a long-term illness he went home to be with his Lord the morning of Tuesday, May 20, 2014 with his loving wife, Kimberly, by his side. He recently moved from the Philadelphia area to Orlando, Florida with his wife Kimberly after they recently married on March 1, 2014.
Ricky received his high school diploma in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1979. He attended Greenville Technical College in Greenville, S.C. where he graduated the Optometric Technology Class in 1984. His entrepreneurial spirit drove him to try his hand at a few different things including being a purse designer with the "Ricardo" brand name. Ricky last worked for United Airlines and was loved by his co-workers.
Ricky enjoyed traveling and made many trips to Colombia. He resided in many places including Colombia, Puerto Rico, Florida, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania. He also had a fascination for automobiles, especially ones of European design. His big smiles and sense of humor brightened the darkest of days and will be truly missed by all that knew him.
Ricky is survived by his children, Adam Soto, Lindsay Soto, and Morgan Soto all of Greenville, South Carolina. He is also survived by his mother, Ernestina Soto, his sisters, Martha Soto, and Maria Elena Soto, Niece, Sarah Reyes, all of Palm Bay, Florida. Ricky was the son of the late Alberto Soto. He is also survived by his wife, Kimberly Hodell-Soto of Orlando, Florida and many Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Orlando, on Saturday, May 24th from 1:00PM to 4:00PM with a funeral service at 2:30PM.
