Richard Jonathan Collins

September 24, 1994 — November 1, 2023

Richard (Ricky) Jonathan Collins passed away on November 1st, 2023 in Orlando, Florida. He is survived by his mother, Jilliann Collins; father, Richard Collins; sister, Ashleigh Sochar; brother, Aaron Hackett; and grandparents, John and Marilyn Ufkes; as well as one nephew and four nieces.

Ricky was raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida until the age of 11 and then moved to Fort Pierce, Florida where he attended and graduated from John Carroll High School in 2012. After high school, he earned his Associate's Degree at Indian River State College. He moved to Denver, Colorado, and then spent his final year near his family in Orlando, Florida.

Ricky was a character; genuinely funny, perceptive, and sarcastic. He could make you laugh, but he could also make you think. As a child he loved to watch Scooby Doo and Blues Clues. He also liked to play Nintendo's Mario Party with his siblings. He loved to read Harry Potter books and earn his AR points. He developed a love for skateboarding, paintball, wakeboarding, snowboarding and guitar. He played in little league in his middle school years and basketball in high school. He was a gifted musician, writing his own music often and jamming with his family members. He also had a bit of a green thumb and moved to Colorado to try his hand in the marijuana industry. He enjoyed spending time at the gym. He loved his family and tried to visit them in Florida and Michigan when he could. Lastly, he dearly loved his Pomeranian, Rocco, who passed in 2017.

He was beloved by his family. Although the last few years of his life proved difficult, he still tried to make his way through the best he knew how. In addition to having an adventure in a new state working in an industry that intrigued him, he got to experience both of his siblings getting married, as well as the birth of several nieces and a nephew.

Ricky was one of a kind, loved by all, and he will be severely missed.
