WIEDERHOLD, RICH, District Fire Chief, died from complications sustained from a motor vehicle accident on Jan. 13, 2011. Born in Orlando, he received his BA from Florida State University in English and Masters degree in Public Administration from University of Central Florida. a Fire Fighter at Reedy Creek & Winter Park Fire departments, EMS Director and later a Brevard County District Fire Chief for over 34 years: a published author of four text books used and translated at universities all over the world, a commercial rated pilot whose passion was flying, as well as an "Angel flight" pilot transporting sick children across the country for free, a UCF college professor, DMAT FL.6 government employee, distinguished military; devoted husband, father and friend. He is survived by a loving family that miss him terribly.
