Richard "Sam" Reysen, CDR USN/MSC, Ret. Age 72 of Orlando passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2006. Born in Jersey City, N.J. he moved to Central Florida in 1979. During Sam's 30 years of service to his country, he received numerous commendations including the Antarctica and Vietnam Service Medals. Sam was of the Lutheran Faith, a member of V.F.W. Post 4287 and the Eagles #3496.
Sam is survived by his wife, Jeanne Reysen; son, Rock Reysen and Diane; daughter, Rhonda Nitsche and husband, Stanley; grandchildren, Loryn Nitsche and Ryan and Joshua Reysen. He was proceeded in death by his son, Richard.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando.
