Richard Lyle Smith, age 75, of Sanford, Florida passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 3, 1946 to father, Lyle and mother, Elizabeth (Miller/ Barnowski) Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia A. Smith; daughter, Tammy R. (James) Doane; son, Daniel J. (Lisa) Thomas; sister, Nancy L. Cain; two nieces, Dinah J. (David) Strunk, Sheilah M. (Kenny) Lockwood; nephew, David J. (Jody) Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lyle and Elizabeth.
A visitation will be held on, Tuesday: January 25, 2022 at Newcomer's South Seminole Chapel, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750.
The gathering will begin at 1:00 pm; followed by and closing with military honors at 3:00 pm.
