Richard Raymond Wanner, 74, of Orlando, FL, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 22nd, 2025, after a battle with dementia.

He was born on May 14th, 1950, in Dickinson, ND, to Christ and Margaret (Frank) Wanner

Richard is survived by his wife, Kimetha (Kovash) Wanner, their married children: Christina (Robert) Kellom and Benjamin (Alyssa) Wanner, Delores Kovash (mother-in-law), Sally and Scott Richards (sister and brother-in-law), Jocelyn and Francis Heid (sister and brother-in-law), and Richard Urlacher (brother-in-law), along with his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by: His parents, Leonard Kovash (father-in-law), Joan Monica Urlacher (sister)

Richard and Kim married on September 12th, 1975, and moved to Orlando, FL, in 1986.

He served in the Army from 1972-1975 and was stationed in Germany. He was a hard worker at Central Supply as a foreman and retired in 2012. He was always a handyman around the house and took pride in his work, from flooring to cabinets. He always supported his children with their dreams. For years, the family enjoyed lunches at Hot Dog Heaven, his favorite place to eat. He loved dogs and was a fan of old westerns. He was never afraid to act silly in public because he had a unique way of showing his love.

We thank our family and friends for your prayers, thoughts, and support during this difficult time.

Richard will be laid to rest at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. The family will have a private event.
