Robert Neil Allen

Robert Neil Allen, age 90 of Orlando, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. He was born in Schenectady, NY on November 27, 1926 to the late Horace Clifford Allen and Clara Pearl Bleekman Allen. He served his country in the US Navy during WW II. He was a graduate of Princeton University and enjoyed a career as a chemical engineer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joan Ann Horner Allen; his daughter, Gail Susan Cowley; son, R. Neil Allen, Jr.; daughter, Diana Opphile; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 9:30AM-10:40AM on Saturday, November 18 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3001 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando. Funeral services will begin at 11AM in the church chapel.

Interment with military honors will be held at 11:30AM Monday, November 20 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
