Robert Dale Drake Sr., 79 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015.
Robert was born on August 11, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Herman L. and Rosemary (Lark) Drake who have both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Herman L. Drake, Jr. Robert was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Lockheed Martin after more than 25 years of service and later worked for Northop-Grumman. He was a past member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in both Atlanta, Georgia and St. Augustine, Florida. He was a huge Florida Gator fan, Atlanta Braves fan and fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr.. He also enjoyed playing golf. Robert was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Orlando.
He is survived by his wife Sandra C. Tillis; children, Cynthia A. O'Brien, Deborah A. Plawa, Robert D. Drake, Jr. and Barbara K. Drake; grandchildren, Miranda A. Drake, Rutledge W. O'Brien, Colby W. Sanders, Taylor A. O'Brien, Randee J. O'Brien and Laynee A. Plawa and 1 great-grandchild, Renley B. Nohe.
