Robert Daniel Harmon

Robert "Bear" Harmon, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2013. He was born January 29, 1944 in West Virginia, to Daniel Paul and Geneva Harmon. Robert passed away after a long battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Alice 'Faye' Harmon; his sons Shawn, Jeremiah, and Tommy Harmon; along with his daughters Wendy and Stormie Harmon. Robert had a total of 10 grand children who will miss him dearly.

At about 4:30 this morning a man that I pictured to be bullet proof left our world to continue in the next. A man that taught me so much in life like how to stand up for myself and how to stick up for what's right and what I believe in, how to shoot a gun when Ii was 5 and bought me my first rifle. It feels like just yesterday he was asking me when I was joining the service and telling me every time I seen him how proud he was of me, I wish it was just yesterday one more time so I could tell him thank you for teaching me so much and being there for me. The type of man he was is a dying breed. I plan to do my best to teach my children and my children's children what he taught me. I've heard marines don't die they get promoted to guard the gates of heaven, well it looks like there is another man on deck.
