Robert T. Hagaman, a resident of Oviedo, FL, died October 19, 2018. He is survived by his son, Stephen R. Hagaman, and Stephen's wife Margaret B. Hagaman. He is also survived by his daughter, Julie L. Hagaman, his sister, Dorothy H. Whitehurst and his brother, James Hagaman.
Robert was born in Montgomery, WV, on December 19, 1932 and raised in Gauley Bridge, WV. While in school in Pittsburgh, he met Patricia Joan Woods, the woman he would marry.
He earned his BS in Civil Engineering at Carnegie Tech (now known as Carnegie Mellon University) where he also earned his Master's Degree.
He served in both the Army and Air Force and afterwards settled in Monroeville PA with Patricia. Starting in 1957, he worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation in East Pittsburgh and then was transferred to the Orlando, FL facility where he worked until retirement.
As a youth, he had helped with the family lumber business, out in the field cutting trees and in the yard, cutting and planing wood and was very adept in building wooden furniture. He had a deep respect for all plants and trees so, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the National Arbor Day Foundation. The link is provided below.
