Louis was born in High Point, North Carolina September 1, 1935. As a young boy,
he worked building furniture. At age nineteen, he drove to Orlando, Florida looking for an occupation. He landed a carpentry job for a builder that later developed into owning his own business as a framing carpenter with several employees. He was always very dedicated and determined to do his best at whatever he endeavored.
Robert Louis Peatross, President of R.L. Peatross & Hueber, Inc., has been building quality custom and contract homes in the Central Florida area since 1952. In addition to a strong construction family background, since 1932, his work shows a fine design sensitivity.
Paul Joseph Hueber, Jr., Registered Architect & State Certified General Contractor, became associated with Mr. Peatross in 1977. A fourth generation member of a construction family, since 1887, he has been personally involved in building since 1951 and is a second generation licensed Architect.
Together, R.L. Peatross & Paul Hueber blend a combination of skills unique in the Central Florida residential construction industry. Their abilities reflect
themselves in residences from 3,500 square feet to those over 20,000 square feet, contemporary as well as traditional.
His hobbies included motorcycling, vintage car restoration and cross-country bicycling.
Louis was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He "believed" in Jesus Christ as his saviour and shared his faith with everyone he knew. He loved the Lord and his kind heart, warm smile and gentle spirit is most remembered by all who knew him. Louis's children and business partner of 27 years both remarked that Louis never spoke an angry word or complained about the obstacles of life. To Louis, obstacles were just challenges. He often was heard saying "I got it figured out".
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
WE LOVE YOU!!
