Robert LaVerne Meridith, age 81, a fourth generation native Floridian, passed away on January 21, 2017 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was born to Robert Lee Meridith and Mattie Lee Meridith on December 26,1935 in Avon Park, Florida. Mr. Meridith resided in Longwood, Florida. Mr. Meridith was married to Isabelle B. Meridith until her passing in 2014.
Mr. Meridith was a member of Nativity Catholic Church, Longwood, Florida. He worked as a sanitation specialist at Merita Bakery, Orlando until his retirement as well as a long-time Shriner and avid volunteer with the American Red Cross.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Woodrow LaMar Meridith as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by nieces, Deborah Ellen Meridith, Brittany Meridith Benge, nephew, Woodrow LaMar Meridith, II and great-niece, Emma Nicole Benge. Others surviving include aunts, uncles, cousins and stepsons David Bohovsky and family of Wisconsin and Stephen Bohovsky and family of Florida.
Graveside service will be Friday, February 3 at 2:00 P. M. at Longwood Memorial Gardens, 929 N. Grant Street, Longwood, Florida.
