Robert (Uncle Bob) Massey was born September 11th, 1949 in Detroit, MI. He went home to be with the lord July 14th, 2015.
He survived by his wife, Kathy Massey, of forty years; his son Rolland Massey; three daughters Michelle Harry, Melissa Massey and Twyla Russell; his sister Patricia Adkins and spouse David; his brothers Johnny Massey and spouse Jamie, Danny Massey and spouse Debbie, and David Massey (deceased) spouse Almetria; step-mother Faye Massey; his eight grandchildren Bethany, Adrianna, Christian, Clayton, Matthew, Stefan, Kenna and Leam; four great-grandchildren; along with twenty-one nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father Robert Carl Massey, Mother Faye Imogene Massey.
Bob's many hobbies included fishing, air boating, gator hunting, going to Nascar races, anything to do with motorcycles, and just being around family. He loved to be around his family and friends. He was the biggest prankster and loved to tell jokes. He could put the biggest smile on your face. He was a part of the Masonic Lodge. Bob Massey never thought or made choices with his head, he always thought or made a choice in life with his heart. If there is something that resembles Bob Massey its the lion, the king of the jungle. Bob Massey was a king amongst our family, a king that guided and taught the ways of the lord and protected all. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family. He was a faithful member of Northside Babtist Church.
We will have a celebration of life service for him at a later date.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM.
