It is with heavy hearts and many loving memories his wife Renee and their sons announce the passing of Robert L Rusk. Originally of Boston, MA, and currently of Winter Park, FL. Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Renee and their sons Robert Jr and Daniel of Winter Park, FL as well as his siblings, James J Rusk of Hatfield, PA, Kathleen McTaggert of Norwich, VT, David Rusk of MA, Susan McCauley of Raynham, MA, Margaret Townsend of Goffstown, NH, and Patrick Rusk of Apopka, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Rusk of Boston, MA.
Bob served our country in the Massachusetts National Guard from 1970 to 1976 and rose to the rank of Sargent.
Bob was recruited by Martin Marietta in 1981 as a Systems Engineer and he and his family moved to Orlando, FL that year. He continued his career with the company after the merger in the late 1980’s to Lockheed-Martin and retired after 35 years of service with the company.
He was involved in many Winter Park community events thru his membership with The Winter Park Jaycees and was elected the organizations 40th President. He was rewarded for his many years of service to the community with a Lifetime Membership as a JCI Senator #51286.
He was a dedicated father to his boys and guided them in Boy Scouts of America to the ranks of Life Scout for Robert Jr and Eagle Scout for Daniel.
He and his wife enjoyed the many community events they were involved in. Later he enjoyed the joy of travel, visiting Alaska, California, Seattle, and the Caribbean among others. While home in Florida Bob enjoyed many visits to Walt Disney World as an annual pass holder for many years.
Bob was an avid Boston Sports Fan and was delighted to bring his boys to see his teams play when they came to Florida and would occasionally travel to see them in Boston. He was very proud when his teams won so many championships over the years.

In lieu of flowers his family requests donations be made to Dana Farber’s Jimmy Fund Cancer Treatment Center in Boston, MA.
