Robert E. Stewart, age 82, of St. Cloud, Florida passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital South in Edgewood, FL.
Robert was born on June 16, 1937, son of the late William Montford and Eunice (Windsor) Stewart. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1959. On June 3, 1956, he married Cornelia A. Day. Robert enjoyed fishing, and spending time with family. He was hardworking, strong, and a devoted husband and father . One of his greatest achievements was raising four children. From the four children he became a loving and supportive grandfather, and then a great grandfather.
Besides his loving wife of 63 years, Cornelia, Robert is survived by his three daughters, Teresa Snapp and her husband, Michael, Deborah K. Black and her husband, Tony, and Roberta S. Bailes and her husband, Steve; his son, Robert E. Stewart, II and his wife, Denise; eight grandchildren, Daryl Black and his wife, Jamie, Tonya Williams and her husband, Jerrod, Dustin Snapp, Whitney Snapp, Matthew Stewart and his wife, Autumn, Meagan Jordan and her husband, Kelly, Cody Stewart, and Brooke Stewart; nine great-grandchildren, Grayson Black, Harper Black, Jett Williams, Cash Williams, Bailey Stewart, Alley Stewart, Violet Stewart, Savannah Jordan, and Blakley Jordan; a sister, Jeannette Granberg; and a brother, Tony Lloyd.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, James Lloyd, and Jerry Stewart.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 11:00 am at Chapel Hill Baptist Church, 8826 Trevarthon Rd, Orlando, FL 32817.
Graveside services will be on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 12:30 pm at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, Florida 32754.
