Rather than to try and summarize his life in a few paragraphs his kids, grandkids and great grandkids would like to honor his memory and quick witted humor by leaving you with a list of his one-liner Grandpa jokes that we all heard many times over the years to remember his incredible life by..

We think these capture his spirit, because you can't read them without hearing his voice.

Because as he used to say, "I'd rather die owing you than live to beat you out of it"..

"Nobody's perfect and I'm a perfect example"

"Howdy Doody tooty fruity"

"I'm blind in one eye and can't see out the other"

"If the good Lord's willing and the creeks don't rise"

"See you later alligator "

"I'm broke, busted, and disgusted"

"You ready Freddie?"

[When answering robo-calls] "If you can't talk take a walk"

[While driving] "Get the lead out of your *** and put it in your foot"

[To traffic light] "ok, Bob's here, turn green"

"I'm doing as well as can be expected, just don't expect a lot"

[When someone passed gas] "the frogs are out"

"I can't wait for my rich uncle to get out of the poor house"

"Close the door, we don't need to air condition the neighborhood"

[When answering the phone] "it's your quarter, my dime"

[When waking someone up] "Rise and shine, it's get up and do it to it time"

"I'm a poet and don't know it"

"My mama raised a fool, not an idiot"

[When someone honked in traffic] "Horn works.. try the brakes"

"I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none"

[Robert how are you?] "I'll have a better day tomorrow if it ever gets here"

"I'm from West-by-God Virginia"

"You're either born rich or good-looking.. I got cheated out of both"

"Nobody knows what condition my condition is in"

"Thank God and Greyhound, she's gone"

Since he never knew anyone a little bit, everyone he came across in his life has fond memories of being with him. He lived a life in pursuit of laughter and he would hope these brought a smile to your face with your own fond memory of him.

If you think of any that didn't make this list, we'd love for you to add them to the guest book here along with your favorite story with him.
