Rodney R. Hicks

Rodney R. Hicks, 66 of Orlando Fl. passed away on January 28th 2023, from pancreatic cancer. Rodney was born on September 13, 1956 in Howell, MI. to Richard and Carlene Hicks. Rodney spent his adolescence in Michigan before moving his family to Orlando, Fl. in 1985. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Polynt Composites where he was employed until his death.


Rodney met the love of his life, Jodi, in 2016 and they were married on March 22, 2019. They were inseparable and did everything together. Rodney enjoyed hunting, football, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, watching TikTok videos, and spending time with his wife and their family dogs, Dyna and Camo. His favorite football teams were Michigan and Detroit Lions and he never missed a game. He enjoyed eating omelets, Lindor chocolates and drinking Natural Light. He was a man of few words but he had a big heart and he loved deeply.


Rodney was predeceased by his daughter Trina, his parents, Richard and Carlene Hicks, and his brother Robert Hicks.


Rodney is survived by his wife Jodi Hicks of Orlando, his son Rodney Hicks Jr of Tennessee, his stepdaughter Barbara Willoughby of Orlando, his brother Richard Hicks of Michigan and his grandchildren, Rodney Hicks III, Brock Hicks, Salina Hicks, Sierra and Owen McMillin, and his step grandchildren, Briella Harris and Stella Leader.


A Celebration of Life will be held on February 18, 2023 at the Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 1900 S, Goldenrod Rd. Orlando, Fl. 32822 from 1pm to 5pm. Anyone who would like to attend this Celebration of Life is welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to offset burial expenses would be appreciated.
