In loving memory of Ronald A. Hew, January 1, 1932-April 20, 2012. Ronald A. Hew, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He was born January 1, 1932 in the town of Claremont, St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I. Went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2012.
He was the fifth of twelve children born to William Hew (Biang), China and Beatrice (Nee Chin) of Moneague, St. Ann, Jamaica. He worked for Reynolds Jamaica Mines as a Trucking Sub-Contractor and later owned a gas station, movie theatre, automotive repair shop, parts and paint store. He migrated with his family to Orlando, Florida in February 1977. He was the owner of RPS Automotive then worked for Luke Potter Dodge in Winter Park. He also worked at Disney World for 10 years before retiring.
He loved driving, traveling, fishing and carpentry. He was very creative and loved working with his hands. He loved spending time with his family. He absolutely loved his wife and children and adored his grandchildren. He was incredibly loving, affectionate, kind, gentle, caring and considerate.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Leonie, his daughters, Karen (Tony Wong Ken), and Michelle (John Parker) and son, Stephen (Kathy McCracken); his grandchildren, Wendy (Nate Green), Mark and Elizabeth Wong Ken, Deanna (David Erne), Danielle and Marjorie Parker and Stephen Neal Hew; great grandson, Theodore Erne. He is predeceased by his son Phillip. He is also survived by 7 brothers, 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
He was a born again believer and member of Encounter Church. A memorial service will be held at the church located at 2320 E. Robinson Street, Orlando, FL 32803. Phone number 407-858-0351 at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 6, 2012.
