Ronald Kalish passed away on May 12, 2018 at the age of 59. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife Kathryn Kalish, beloved daughter Allison Destiny Kalish and brothers John David Kalish and Lawrence Michael Kalish. He was diagnosed with cancer in February and the disease progressed quickly. It is still a shock to those that were closest to him. He thought he could beat it and fought bravely.
Ron lived his dream working as a General Contractor and Real Estate Broker. He was very proud of the company he grew, Katron, and loved Orlando as his own. Many of his clients became lifelong friends and all his work was based on referrals. He enjoyed helping people fulfill their dreams. Ron and Kathy met and worked together for most of their 38-year marriage. Katron was a dream conceived when they were married on December 29, 1979 and achieved in 1997. He absolutely loved being his own boss and all the work that came with it. He enjoyed passing his knowledge on to others that were trying to build businesses of their own.
He was also very involved in his community. He was a Guardian ad Litem for Seminole County and contributed his time and business to help with renovations and projects within his community.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, photography and traveling. He loved learning about other cultures and sampling international cuisine. He was a very spiritual person and always wanted to talk to others about their beliefs, with the goal of understanding as much as he could about it. He was able to connect with people, regardless of the language spoken, and make you feel as though you were understood and respected.
With the suddenness of his passing and as per his wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 27, 2018 from 5-8pm at the Holy Trinity Reception Center at 1217 Trinity Woods Lane, Maitland 32751. All are welcome and encouraged to share stories of Ron with his family and friends. There will be a special toast to Ron at 6:30pm.
