Ronald J. Nargi

Ronald J. Nargi, 87, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025 in Orlando, Florida. A man of great principles and unwavering faith, Ronald lived a life marked by devotion to his family, service to his country and steadfast commitment to his beliefs.

Born on July 18, 1937, in the Bronx, Yew York, Ronald was the son of Theresa and Michael Nargi. He attended St. Basil's Prep where he lettered in football, baseball and basketball, captaining the basketball team to multiple championships, while graduating as Salutatorian of his class. He then went on to he U. S. Naval Academy, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in military service.

Ronald proudly served in both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force. His dedication to duty and country was a defining aspect of his life. After completing his military service, he continued to serve our country with distinction in the civilian sector. Given his love of travel, he subsequently owned and operated multiple travel agencies for three decades. His professional endeavors reflected his enterprising spirit and strong work ethic.

A devout Catholic with an unshakable faith in God, Ronald found strength and purpose through his religion. His spiritual life was central to who he was and guided him throughout every chapter of his journey.

Family was Ronald's greatest joy. He is survived by his beloved wife Ellen; son Ron Jr. (Lori); daughter Marie; son Michael (Jeanette); son Patrick (RaeLynn); brother Robert; brother Edward (Jan); brother Michael (Chari); as well as 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Each member of his large family held a special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by Theresa and Michael Nargi, parents; Peggy Nargi, sister-in-law and Baker Heard son-in-law.

A Funeral Mass will be held in Ronald's honor of Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, located at 1501 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando, Florida 32828.

Ronald J. Nargi leaves behind a legacy of integrity, faithfulness and love for family that will continue to inspire all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Orlando, FL where Ron and Ellen are parishioners.
