Ronald Wagner of Longwood, FL passed away on Thursday January 28, 2021 at the age of 79.
Ronald was born on January 12, 1942 in Harvey, Illinois to Fredrick and Caroline Wagner. He served in the United States military from 1960 to 1966. Ronald married Elaine on July 12, 1963. While living in Illinois he upheld several positions which would have an impact on his life and family for many years to come. Those positions included a police officer, a certified welder, and a carpet cleaning business. After moving from Homewood Flossmoor, IL to Florida he opened his own janitorial and vacuum cleaner business. After owning the business for several years, he was recruited as a maintenance facilities technician for the City of Winter Park, where he retired after 30 years. Ronald was a devout Christian and attended Northland Church in Longwood.
Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine. Ronald had two daughters, Michele (Richard) Poore of Lake Mary and Cynthia (Lea) Bennett of Longwood, two granddaughters Tiffany (Scott Lanphear) and Kaylee, two grandsons Derek and Dakota, and one great grandson Easton. He is survived by his three sisters, Judy Thomas of Tennessee, Karen Norwid and Linda Mills of Illinois, and two brothers Dave Wagner of Indiana and Don Wagner of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents Fredrick and Caroline Wagner.
His celebration of life is scheduled for Saturday February 6, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home in Longwood (335 East State Road 434 Longwood, Florida.) Visitation will be from 2 pm to 3 pm with services from 3 pm to 4 pm. Flowers and condolences can be sent to 335 East State Road 434 Longwood, Fl.
