Rosa Lee Kendall, 81, of Orlando, Florida, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 peacefully at Adventhealth East Care Hospital with her husband at her bedside. Her loving children, grandchildren, and other family members stayed with her through the day. She peacefully expired at 10:20 P.M. and although she put up a five year valiant fight she succumbed to her battle with double kidney cancer. Rose was born in Oil City, PA., to father Lee Albert Hockenberry and mother Opal Louise Shraer.
Rose loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, gardening, one of her favorite things to do was build a campfire and just sit around it and talk. Rose loved all creatures of God except spiders and snakes. She once raised a baby Mockingbird that had fallen out of the nest. She named it Herkimer and it became an outside pet to her and her children. Red Roses were her favorite flowers and she enjoyed spending time tending to her flowers.
Rose was a caregiver for the CEO corporation prior to retirement. She was a devoted, loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Rose was an Independent Baptist and a member of Lockwood Baptist Church.
Rose is preceded in death by daughter, Angela M. Kendall Michaud, and two sons Robert M. Murphy, and James P. Murphy.
Rose is survived by husband of 47 years Owen E. Kendall Sr., daughters Deborah A. Reichard, Elizabeth L. Hudson, Mary C. Murphy, and Diane M. Murphy and stepchildren Teresa M. Weyer, Tracy L. Kendall, Owen E. Kendall Jr., Tamara M. Kendall, Kimberly A. Roberts. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Viewing will be Thursday March 10th, family from 5:00 P.M to 6:00 P.M., and friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL.
Services will be held on Friday, March 11th, at 10:00 A.M. at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando, FL. Interment will follow the service at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
