Rosa Matos was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on October 28, 1938. She entered Heaven's gates on January 15, 2015.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Rosa was an excellent homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Family was very important to her and first after God and her husband. She dedicated her whole life to raising her children and grandchildren and it filled her heart with joy to see them grow into the adults that they became or would become. She was a strong supporter of her husband who served our country in the Navy for over 20 years.
She had an unwavering faith in God and enjoyed attending services. She prayed over her family every day and had a hope they would all come to know the Lord.
She has finished her course. She has left a fine example of how to live by her words and her actions. Now she can rest in peace. She has now come to the time for which she lived. This is not the end, but the beginning. Our comfort lies in the truth...."Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord." Yes, Rosa has resting to do. But her works will follow in ways that can not be overlooked. Her presence was a power inspiration, and her memory also!
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Pedro Matos, and 4 children Peter Matos and his wife Linda, Rosita Porras and her husband Jorge, Carmen Lagares and her husband Rafael, and Carlos Matos. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Rosita MacLennan, Angela Matos, Richard Rodriguez, Jorge Porras, Ariel Matos, Andres Porras, Tanya Matos, Anastasia Matos, Jasmine Matos, Genesis Matos and Carlos Matos Jr plus 3 great grandchildren, Kenzie MacLennan, Ella MacLennan and Ava MacLennan.
