Rose Irene Carrington

Rose Irene Carrington, born September 1, 1931, passed away on August 14, 2024 leaving behind a devoted and loving family. Rose met Claude (Bud) Carrington in high school. When he asked her to follow him to Alaska and marry him, she made her way, alone, to do so. Rose and Bud had a long and loving marriage that took them to not only Alaska, but Wisconsin, the Florida Keys, and, eventually the Orlando area. Rose was an intelligent and willing partner in their adventures, managing to raise three children along the way. After Bud passed away, she met and married Rodney Braisby, with whom she enjoyed travel and quiet days together at home. 

Rose leaves behind two of her daughters, Julie and Jill, three loving sons-in-law, Lorenzo, Dan and Juan; her British family, Robert, Tony, Michael, Samantha and Stuart, her sister Mable and her brother Harold, and a large and loving family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, and nieces and nephews. 

She reunites with her beloved Bud and Rodney, her daughter Evelynn Grace, and sisters Georgie, Frieda and Cecelia.

Rose will be remembered with love by all her family as a woman who did extraordinary things and enjoyed her life, with the wisdom to know it only happens once. She didn’t just do her best, she did it great.
