Russell A. Birkett Sr.

Russell Alan Birkett Sr., a long-time resident of Christmas, FL., passed away at the age of 74 at his cherished family-owned tree farm on September 24th, 2021. Russell was born in Fall River Massachusetts on July 3rd, 1947, to George and Amanda Mae Birkett. Russell was a unique collector and owned a school bus, a fire truck, eight classic trucks. Russell was a life-time entrepreneur and farmer, with his first agricultural endeavors beginning in 1985. The farm he began is still in operation with 2nd and 3rd generation of Birkett family farmers continuing the legacy.

Russell was an avid car collector and enthusiast, motorcycle rider, and a world traveler. Some of his favorite adventures were traveling the country in his camper with his wife Theresa, and their dogs. Most of the time he would return with a car he found along the way.

Russell will be welcomed in heaven by his parents, and his eldest son, Russell Birkett Jr. and his grandson Cody Tharrett. Russell is survived by his wife, Theresa, his children: Kimberly, Gregory, and Jason, as well as his grandchildren and great-granddaughter Amelia, and of course his two dogs: Harley, and Molly.

Visitation is Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a memorial service at 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Winter Park Chapel (3806 Howell Branch Road, Winter Park, Florida 32792).
