Sally Ann Gooch Smith

Sally Ann Gooch Smith, age 86 years old, went to be with Jesus on November 18, 2021. She was born on September 12, 1935 at Fort Monmouth Army Base, New Jersey.
Sally was born into a proud military family. She was the youngest child born to her father, Chief Warrant Officer Homer A. Gooch and mother Ida Mae Gooch. All four of her brothers, served in the military and her one sister married a soldier as well. Sally married an Airman in the United States Air Force. She traveled and raised her family in the proud tradition of a true patriot. She loved her country, the United States of America and she was extremely proud of her Gooch heritage.
Sally never met a stranger. She had a servant's heart and gave unselfishly her entire life. She was loved and cherished by her family and friends. She will be truly missed and will love forever in our hearts.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Keeney and by her son, Richard Allen Smith. She is survived by her three daughters: Barbara Ann Leibowitz, Brenda Lee Pope (husband and Sally's son-in-law, David K. Pope) and Tracy Marie Wirt. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Sally's Life will be held after the Thanksgiving Holiday at:
