Sandra Lee Peden Channell, age 73, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. She was born in Greenville, South Carolina on March 24, 1950.
Sandy was raised in Orlando, Florida by her adopted parents, Uncle Edward and Aunt Bertie Peden. Her family has resided in the College Park area for many decades. She graduated from Edgewater High School.
Sandy is preceded in death by her husband James "Jay" Channell, Jr. and her sister Jeanie Peden. Both of whom she loved dearly. Sandy worked for AdventHealth Hospital for well over 50 years. She was a lifelong follower of Seventh-Day Adventist faith.
Her life was defined by the people she chose to love. Her circle is an eclectic group of friends, family, neighbors and coworkers. She surrounded herself with friends as her family of choice. Sandy never missed the birthday of a loved one.
Sandy lived her life straight from the heart. Every minute of every day. She was a lifetime cat lover and is survived by her beloved cats Georgie and Stevie.
