Sharon Marie Garvey, age 60, of Maitland, Florida passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023.
Sharon was born July 26, 1962, in Coral Gables, Florida, the daughter of Richard and Joan (Fitzgibbons) Kelly. Her childhood years were spent living in Cocoa, Florida. She attended Cocoa High School, Brevard Community College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1985 and a post-baccalaureate certificate from Penn State University.

She married her husband, Brian, in 1987 after they met as lab partners in a digital electronics lab at UCF. He was blessed to be with her for 35 years of marriage up to her passing. They were "lab partners for life."
She welcomed the birth of her beloved daughter Kathleen in 1999 and transitioned to full-time motherhood, community service, and part-time consulting. She became a Homeroom Mom, Girl Scout Leader, Athletic Booster, Religious Education Teacher, Vacation Bible School leader, and Neighborhood Network Community Support Organizer.
Sharon played on the Tennis team while at Brevard Community College and was a lifelong tennis player, playing in many Leagues and Tournaments where she served as a Team Captain for her "Sanlando Strings" team.
Sharon dedicated her life to serving others in her career, supporting the Defense Industry, in the care and nurturing of her immediate family, her extended family at Church, and her support for the community at large. She was fiercely proud of her daughter. Sharon loved traveling to Baltimore to watch her daughter play as a Women's Lacrosse Goalie for the Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays ("Go Jays").
