On October 1st, 2023, Sharon Kay Juhl passed away at the age of 87. She was in the comfort of her own home in Orlando, Florida surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born on September 28th, 1936, in Forest City, Iowa to the parents of Paul and Evelyn Jensen. She had an older brother, Rodney Jensen. She graduated high school from Forrest City High School, and on August 13th, 1955, married her high school sweetheart, Rodger Juhl. They created a family with a son, Ricky and two daughters, Paula, and Penny. They spent years traveling while Rodger served in the Navy. Sharon spent over 20 years working in the accounting department for McDonald's. In her free time, Sharon loved to paint and would often sell the work she'd made with her husband at craft fairs. She also found joy in collecting glass shoes to display. Once retired, her and Rodger took a road trip around the United States and visited the outer states. In 2001 Sharon became a member of Epiphany Lutheran church where she attended service every Sunday and partook in bible studies and even played in the bell choir for some time. She was a Godly woman who was always pursuing to grow in her faith and relationship with Jesus.
In addition to being a wife and mother, Sharon was a grandmother to three granddaughters, Anna, Cali and Emilie, and two grandsons, Joshua and Matthew. She was a Great-Grandmother to her great-grandsons Viktor and Carter, and great-granddaughters, Parker and Paisley.
Sharon was often described as a fighter, strong and stubborn. In 1997, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and endured a 5-year battle with it before overcoming it and becoming cancer free. She had a fierce love for her family and found joy in being able to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She had a heart for helping wherever she could. In 2021, she went into Kidney Failure where she began Dialysis and had it 3 times a week until losing her battle to sepsis.
Sharon was preceded in death by her son Ricky, brother Rodney, husband Rodger, mother Evelyn, and father Paul. She is survived by her two daughters, Paula and Penny, son-in-law Garry, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
