Sharon A. Longardner passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2017 in Orlando, FL at the age of 70.
She was born on July 5, 1947 in Chicago, IL to the late William and Marie Papik Voorhees. She was the eldest of four children.
Sharon was a faithful woman and truly adored her church family at the Aloma United Methodist Church. She loved the variety and sparkle of life; she was adventurous and enjoyed staying active, especially when traveling abroad and within the United States. Throughout her life, she enjoyed many hobbies including amateur photography, watercolors, scrapbooking, gardening, genealogy, history and entertaining her family & friends with a home-cooked meal.
She will be remembered as a wonderful & loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Memories will be cherished by her children, Justin Longardner (Carrie), Heather Longardner and Tiffany Gibbons (Keith); brothers, Joe Voorhees (Gwen), Tom Voorhees (Michelle) and Jerry Voorhees; grandsons, Jaxson and Grayson; niece, Tori and nephew, Tyler; as well as her canine companion, Hudson.
In 2003, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth W. Longardner.
Family will greet friends from 10:30AM to 11AM on Saturday, September 9th at the Aloma United Methodist Church, 3045 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792 with a memorial service to begin at 11AM.
Inurnment will take place at 11AM on Saturday, September 30th at the Palm Cemetery, 1005 N. New York Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789.
