Sheri Ann Lollo was born August 21, 1959. The same day that Hawaii became a state, as she liked to tell people. Born to the late Norman W. Alexander and Joan M. Alexander in Red Bank, New Jersey, she was the youngest of a family of five with Jeri, Lynda, Bill, and Lori preceding her. She mostly grew up in Keansburg, NJ, with her family but occasionally had to relocate due to her father's career in construction. Florida is where she would eventually end up laying down roots but every now and then you could see a little bit of her Jersey girl come out. Florida is also where she would meet her future husband, Joe, and eventually where she would settle down to raise her son, Joseph and her daughter, Jessica.
If you knew Sheri, you knew that she took great pride in her yard and was an avid lover of all things plants and gardening. Whether it be a perfectly manicured lawn or growing a vegetable garden in an old canoe, her green thumb knew no bounds. Sheri's love of nature didn't stop there, she thoroughly enjoyed traveling to various national parks and historic sites, especially if it was from the civil war era! But more than any place, Sheri's favorite travel destination was the beach in Englewood, FL., where she would collect beautiful shells and soak up some sun.
With her strong personality, infectious laugh, and a heart as big as the sky, Sheri was the go-to person for almost anything and everything. She was extremely dependable and it seemed as though everything she did was perfect. Sheri was always there to lend a helping hand, an ear to listen, or shoulder to cry on. Sheri always seemed to have the right input for whatever situation you found yourself in.
Above all else, Sheri was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. It could be relaxing at home, going out to dinner, or even traveling across the country, for her, family time was the best time. Sheri had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved and she was undoubtedly the glue of the Lollo family. She will be deeply missed.
