Sherrill Saunders Wojchick

Sherrill Saunders Wojchick — "Sherri" — age 79, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021. She was born in Wilmington, NC and called Orlando home for much of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Dunkel (Richard); son, Mark Wojchick (Amy); daughter, Shannon Wojchick-Polichronopoulos (Chris); grandson, Samuel Wojchick; granddaughters, Rachel Dunkel and Caitlin Laberee (Josh). She is preceded by her husband Ed, and siblings Charlotte, Jean, and George.

A memorial service for Sherrill will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 26 Willow Drive, Orlando.

Sherri was loved by all who met her and was a loyal, lifelong friend to so many. She was devoted to her family — the love of her life husband Ed of 47 years, their children, grandchildren, and large extended family. Together, Sherrill and Ed used their lives to bless a multitude of people over the years, opening their home, hearts, and lives to whoever they knew was in need. Togetherness was their greatest joy.

She will be remembered for her beautiful alto harmonies in the church choir, hosting joyful Christmas gatherings, and her nurturing spirit. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as spending time at the beach, singing, and drinking a hot cup of coffee in the morning while talking with friends and family.

Most important in her life and her greatest love was for the Lord Jesus Christ. Sherri gave herself completely to God and to His service. She served the Lord in her home, in her family, and at Christ the King Episcopal Church for nearly 50 years.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Christ the King Episcopal Church, Advent Christian Village, or Cornerstone Hospice.
