Shirley M. Cook

Shirley Mae Cook, 79 of Oviedo, Florida graduated to heaven on Monday, August 12, 2013. Shirley was born November 16, 1933 in Glenmont, Ohio to Bernice and Paul Neal. She had an older sister Bonnie Mohler, who preceded her in death and a brother, who she lovingly called "baby brother", Jack Neal.

Shirley married her college sweetheart and love of her life of 58 years Ronald Cook. She graduated from Life Bible College in Los Angeles, California in 1957 and has served the kingdom of God faithfully for over 60 years. She was a faithful, active member, teacher and pastor at The Praise Place Church in Winter Park. She worked for the Orange County Public School System for 26 years.

Survived by her husband of 58 years Ronald Cook, her children Brenda and Stanley Hawks, Barbara and Johnny Davidson, Bonnie Cook, Thomas and Lisa Cook and Beth and John Ivey, 13 Grandchildren and 7Great-grandchildren, brother Jack and Sandy Neal and many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 7PM-9PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, at 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 2pm at Faith Assembly of God, 2008 N. Goldenrod Road, Orlando.
