Shirley P. Vaughn

Shirley Pauline Vaughn, age 84 of Orlando passed away peacefully as a result of cancer on Saturday, November 28, 2009 with her family by her side. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Levi; son, Gary Vaughn (Claudia); daughter, Glenda Hergner; sister, Virginia Rutland of Panama City; special sister-in-law, Sarah Black; four grandchildren, David, Danny and Stephanie Vaughn and Chad Hergner(Dama). Three great grandchildren, Anthony and Kayla Vaughn and Stevi Autumn Rose and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Effie Lowie, Lois Sandborn and brother, Jessie L. Simmons. She was a kind, loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Words cannot express how much we will miss her presence in our lives.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 9:00-10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando with her funeral service at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
