Clawson, Silas, CFMST (Ret.) went home to the Lord on Jan. 8, 2011. Born March 17, 1931 in St. Marys, OH, Silas joined the Air Force during WWII at the age of 14. For 30 years, he served his Country with tours in Germany, Korea and twice in Vietnam. Returning in 1973, he settled in Orlando subsequently retiring from Orange County Government. His love of family, children and animals was evident in everything he did. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, children, Theresa Forsythe (Kenny), David Forsythe (Michelle), Stephen Forsythe and Heather Spencer (David); brothers, Jimmy Clawson and Harvey Clawson; sisters, Catherine Clawson and Alice Clawson; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Silas was a member of F & AM Lodge #791; VFW Post 4287, Am. Legion Post 242 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Post #3496.
