Moore, Sim, Jr.- Age 66, of Orlando, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Sandi) Moore, son, John William Moore, step-son, Raphael D. Rios, step daughter- Deborah Torres of Orlando; brother James Lee Moore; niece, Sherry Copeland, nephew, Billy J. Moore. Sim is originally from Van Buren, Arkansas where he enlisted in the US Navy from High School. Served in the US Navy ships- Viet-Nam, The Cuban Missile Crisis, and the 1967 Israeli Conflict. He retired from the Navy in 1980 and became part of the engineering team at the University of Central Florida where he retired this year. A member of the First Baptist Church of Orlando, he sang in the Adult Choir (Singing Christmas Trees of Orlando) for 13 years and was an active member of the East Side Blue Grass Group of East Colonial on Friday nights. He was a member of the American Legion, Pine Castle, FL, and his number is 201918464. He was a member of the VFW on Goldenrod Road, the Eagles on Goldenrod Road, and the Moose on 441, Orlando, FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 24, 2006 in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 23, 2006, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Fort Smith National Cemetery, Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
