Born August 8, 1928, in Chicago, IL died at Orlando Regional Medical Center on August 4 from injuries she suffered in a July 28 car crash in Orlando. Sister Rosemary entered the congregation of the Servants of Mary (Servite Sisters), Ladysmith, WI in 1954 and professed first vows in 1956. She taught at St. Rose of Lima School in St. Paul, MN and served as treasurer for the Servite Sisters in Ladysmith before moving to Orlando in 1984, where she worked at BETA Center until she retired in 2003. She volunteered for many civic and charitable organizations and was an avid Chicago Cubs' fan. She is survived by her brothers Peter (Marilyn) Mayer of Addison, IL, Joseph (Josephine) Mayer of Addison, IL and William (Patricia) Mayer of Carmel, IN. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great niece and nephew, cousins and special friend Sister Rosemary Lorenzen, CSJ and the Ladysmith Servite Sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Emily Mayer. Visitation will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2014 with the Memorial Mass at 5:00 PM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 5900 Oleander Drive, Orlando, FL 32807.
