Soledad Swisher

Soledad, Swisher, 85 of Orlando, Florida passed away on October 1, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Catbalogan City, Samar, Philippines on October 8, 1925. She came to the United States on the last military ship out of the Philippines after WWII ended as a war bride. She travelled the world as a military wife for 22 years settling in San Antonio, Texas in 1968. She and her husband Richard of 65 years moved to Orlando in 1983 to be near their grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Richard, son Rick and wife Cindy of Winter Park, Florida, daughter Teresa Auerbach and husband Ed of Angel Fire, N.M., grandson Ryan Swisher of Orlando, granddaughter Ashley Steele and husband Patrick and great-grand daughter Harlow Steele of Carl Junction, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Vitas Hospice.
