Sonya Anne Bly

Sonya Anne Bly (Halley), 79, of Winter Park, FL passed away Tuesday, November 28th, 2017. Sonya was born in Girard Kansas on August 21st, 1938 to William and Cecelia Halley. She was raised in Mays Landing, NJ, and had lived in the Central Florida area for the last 4 decades. Sonya raised seven children, and was a mother figure to many others.

Sonya is survived by brothers, Louis Sorrentino and William Halley, her seven children, Donna (son-in-law Greg) Giacini, Debbie (son-in-law Mike) Seacrest, David Sorrentino, Robert (daughter-in-law Colette) Sorrentino, Lisa (son-in-law Wes) Crawford, Jennifer Sorrentino, and Stephanie Sorrentino, 12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Sonya was preceded in death by her first Husband, David Sorrentino, and her second husband, Loren Bly, as well as her sisters, Joanie, Patty and Joanne. Sonya, Patty and Joanne were known to their families as the Golden Girls, and they shared many adventures together.

Sonya was loved and admired by many, and her loss will leave an empty space in many hearts. Her smile and cheerfulness lit up anyone's life she was a part of.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions, 335 E. SR 434, Longwood, FL 32750. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM.

Sonya loved children and was a very passionate and giving person. She enjoyed helping people in need. Any donation in her name would be very appreciative and would help fulfill a child's dream.
