Sailer, Stanley J., Jr., age 80 of Orlando, passed away Tuesday, March 30. He was born in Morristown, NJ on January 26, 1929. He attended UCLA, graduated from Northrop Aeronautical Technical Institute and was A&E licensed. He worked for Northrop Aviation and Douglas Aircraft and joined the McDonnell Douglas Aerospace and Missile program at the Cape in 1956. He retired from McDonnell Douglas Aerospace (now Boeing) in 1990 after 34 years of service. He loved vintage aircraft, jets and classic cars. Mr. Sailer is survived by his wife Florence; daughter, Shirley E. Oakley; son, Larry S. Sailer; grandchildren, Scott Oakley, Pete Sailer, Amy Sailer, Shelly Sailer; great-grandchildren, Zachary Oakley, Jacob Oakley, Matthew Oakley and Daniel Oakley. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Thursday, April 2 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart/Lung Association or Hospice of the Comforter.
