God took the strength of a mountain,
the majesty of a tree.
The warmth of a summer sun,
the calm of a quiet sea.
The generous soul of nature,
the comforting arm of night.
The wisdom of the ages,
the power of the eagle's flight.
Then God combined these qualities,
there was nothing more to add.
His masterpiece was now complete,
He lovingly called it, Dad.
Steven Len Bays, age 57, or Orlando, FL, passed away on Saturday June 30, 2018.
He was born on March 11, 1961 in Columbus, OH, son of the late Andy Arvel and Ethel Marie (Johnson) Bays.
Steven is survived by his son, Steven C. Bays and his wife Anja; two daughters, Dawn Clayton and Heather Evans and her husband Eric; two brothers, Glenn Richard Bays and Jay Johnson, Jr. and his wife Lori; three sisters, Joy Lee McKinney and her husband Bobby, Jo Ann Nelson, and Connie Sue Roddenberry and her husband Gerald; and his seven grandchildren, Nikolai Damarkus Bays, Isabelle Claire Bays, Tanner Dantley Bays, Brianna Jade Nelson, Sean Clayton, John Eric Evans, and Colton Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ronald Ray Bays.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Zion Freewill Baptist Church, 5399 County Road 427, Sanford, FL 32773.
