Steven Czodli, 72, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Steve began his life's journey born in Lackawanna, NY, to John James and Anna (Kulikowski) Czodli.
After graduating from Lackawanna High School, he attended State University of New York at Fredonia earning a Bachelors degree in education and later went on to earn his Masters at Nova SE University. Steve influenced and helped shape the lives of thousands of students during his 41 years as a high school social studies teacher. He began his professional journey at Pine Valley school district in western New York before moving to central Florida in the early 1980's. He retired from Orange County Public School district after teaching for 24 years at Maynard Evans High School in Orlando.
Steve was preceded in death by his father and his brother, John Czodli. He is survived by his wife Julie Czodli (DeVoss); mother Anna Czodli; brother Tom (Debra); nieces Michelle Czodli Bigos (Mark); Melissa Czodli; and Jordin DeVoss Gordon (Josh); nephews John and Todd Czodli (Lee Ann); Jeremy and Erik Penfold; mother-in-law Mick Pickard; brother-in-law Marty DeVoss; sister-in-law Jacque Penfold (Steve) and several loving great-nephews and great-nieces.
Steve celebrated life with a fervor for golf, along with 28 years of weekly date nights at Epcot with his wife Julie, trips to Anna Maria island and keeping his golfing and Fredonia college buddies smiling with his wit and "Czodlisms".
His true love of family and friends is an example to a rich life we will all treasure and miss. Steve left us too early, but his life will be forever remembered.
