Steven Gregory Murphy

Steven Gregory Murphy passed away on December 2, 2024 in Altamonte Springs, FL after a long illness. He fought valiantly until his body said “no more.” He was born in Augusta, GA on August 5, 1948 to Thomas J. and Eileen R. Murphy.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Michael T. Murphy and his wife, Susan Murphy. He is survived by a son, Michael T. Murphy II and daughter, Christine Sullentrup; grandchildren Cade Sullentrup, Cole Sullentrup and Gillian Murphy; sister, Sherry Murphy Fischer (Gary Fischer) and a host of nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many other family members and close friends who will miss him greatly. 

 Steve spent most of his life in Pinellas County but also lived in Georgia and California before moving to Altamonte Springs in 2021 to be closer to family. 

 He was a graduate of the University of Florida where he was a proud member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. He loved his Gators!
