Susan (née Aspinall) Zanca of Sanford, Florida passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2020 surrounded by her devoted husband Tony and their three loving children.
Susan was born in Newark, New Jersey on October 12, 1949 to James and Mildred Aspinall. She grew up the youngest of three children in East Orange, New Jersey along with her brother James Aspinall of Las Vegas, Nevada and her sister Judith Canfield of Nutley, New Jersey who passed away February 15, 2020.
Susan and Tony were married in Newark, New Jersey on April 15, 1967. They lived in East Rutherford, New Jersey before buying their first home in West Paterson, New Jersey in 1971 where they welcomed their three children, Anthony, Stephen and Susan. Now a family of five, Susan and Tony built a new home in Cedar Grove, New Jersey from the ground up moving into it in 1980 where they would live until moving to the North End of Cedar Grove in 1983. 1990 brought big changes as the family moved to Sanford, Florida so Susan could get away from the cold weather for health reasons.
Susan loved spending her summers in South Jersey camping with her family. Taking care of her family and others was her life's work. She made sure her children were raised putting God first just as she was brought up. She attended numerous churches over the decades always finding a close knit group to fellowship with in both New Jersey and Florida. Susan loved all of God's creatures and had a special affinity for birds. She often dreamed of flying free like a bird in the bright blue skies above. Now she is free from the pain and suffering she had here on earth as she is living eternal life in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Susan will be dearly missed as she was a loving, generous, kind, caring and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She had a heart of gold who always put others ahead of herself.
Susan is survived by her husband Tony, her son Anthony Joseph Zanca and his wife Meredith, her son Stephen James Zanca and her daughter Susan Laurie Zanca.
