Susie M. Watson

Watson, Susie M.- 76, of Orlando, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2003 at her home after a long illness.
She was born in Ashford, Alabama on September 17, 1927, the daughter of John Sylvester & Mattie (Hobbs) Smith. She married her husband Bobby on February 13, 1954 and had one daughter.
She is survived by her husband of 49 1/2 years, Bobby; daughter, Ava Bergeron, her husband David and their children Amanda Zook of Akron, Ohio; Nicholas Bergeron & Matthew Bergeron of Orlando, Florida. She had two great-grandchildren, Douglas & Leah Zook both of Akron, Ohio. She is also survived by her sister, Tabbie Weathers of Ashford, Alabama and her brother, J.S. Smith of Valrico, Florida.
Mrs. Watson loved her family, first and foremost. She was proud of her grandchildren and their academic and athletic accomplishments. She was the matriarch of her family, not afraid of hard work, and someone to strive to model yourself after. She enjoyed working in her yard of many flowers, plants & trees and nothing thrilled her more than geting together for family celebrations. She will be deeply missed by each and every one of us.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 12, 2003 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 13, 2003, at 10:00 A.M. in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando.
