Sylvia J. Avola, 84 of Chipley, Florida passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009. She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN and moved to Chipley from Orlando. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Rush of Orange City, FL; daughters, Naomi Gorman of Ohio and Joyce Richter of Chipley; brothers, Gerald Fulkerson and Clarence Fulkerson both of Ohio; sister, Rosella Spears of New Hampshire; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in the Chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Evans of Chipley, FL officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM.
